We are experts in Regenerative Medicine. You want healing of your sports or musculoskeletal injury. You want relief from pain and/or improvement in function. For some, you want to avoid, or least delay, surgery. The hallmark of treatment at Valley Sports Physicians that will help you reach those goals is the Regenerative Restoration Experience®, our unique approach to Regenerative Medicine and helping to restore your quality of life.
The Regenerative Restoration Experience® is a comprehensive evaluation, discussion, and treatment plan uniquely designed to meet your specific needs. For us, each patient is unique. Therefore each treatment approach must be unique, catering to your needs and goals. Whether it’s Prolotherapy, Prolozone, PRP, Stem Cells, some combination of all of them – or maybe none of them – the Regenerative Restoration Experience® is designed to help you get there. There are several phases involved:
The Regenerative Restoration Evaluation®
In this initial phase we take an inventory of your goals, your limitations (physical and otherwise), your pain, and your strengths and weaknesses. The idea is to get a more thorough assessment of your condition. Besides a complete history, we also perform a comprehensive physical exam, often including an ultrasound evaluation. If necessary, additional tests may be ordered, such as x-rays and MRIs. (If you have already had these done, but the studies are more than a year old, they may need to be repeated so that we have the most up-to-date data.)
However, this stage is more than simply gaining a deeper picture of your physical condition. We also would like to know more about your expectations of treatment. For some, this can be as simple being free of pain. For others it may mean hoping to be able to return to running or playing tennis. While for others it may be a desire to avoid surgery, or at least to delay it. Having a deeper understanding of your goals better enables us to design a more effective treatment plan for you.
The Regenerative Restoration Strategy®
After assembling the physical data from your history, exam, and radiographic & lab tests, and combining that with an appreciation of your expectations from treatment, the next phase is to discuss the possible means by which we can best accomplish those goals.
There often are several different ways to address a problem. Which one(s) we choose are based in part on the information assembled during the Regenerative Restoration Evaluation® stage. But it also may be a factor of timing and finances. Some treatment approaches take longer and involve more “down time” after treatment. This may interfere with your job or sports season. In these cases we may choose either to delay treatment or choose a treatment alternative that fits better with your lifestyle. Similarly (and understandably), some treatments cost more than others, and this alone may be a deciding factor for some. But these are decisions that we make together. Our overarching goal at Valley Sports Physicians is that you fully understand the agreed upon treatment strategy and that you are completely comfortable with your decision.
The Regenerative Restoration Treatment®
Once we arrive at and agree upon a treatment strategy, the final stage is to begin the actual treatment process and help you reach your goals! In some cases this may involve a one-time-only injection or treatment. In other cases it may consist of a series of treatments spread out over time. One strategy may involve a main treatment followed by several “booster” treatments. Another strategy may be comprised of a series of identical treatments given at specified intervals. But in each case this strategy was determined during the Regenerative Restoration Strategy® phase.
Our treatment approaches use only the latest technology and most advanced techniques, so you are assured of the highest quality treatment possible. In addition, our goal is make the treatment as comfortable and free from anxiety or apprehension as possible. The bottom line: We treat you in the same manner as we would want to be treated.
